President’s Message

The Association for Professional Insurance Women is an organization providing women in the insurance industry with opportunities for professional development and assistance in advancing their careers. We have 350 members within the NY and Chicago chapters. One of our priorities in 2008 was to increase membership, we are thrilled to report that we have added 30 new members since July. Our membership is varied in experience and we are able to showcase a cross section of skills from management to the C-suite.

The APIW Insurance Woman of the Year award, presented annually since 1976, recognizes an exceptional woman who has achieved prominence in the insurance industry. Ms. Tomlinson was chosen as this year's award recipient in recognition of her outstanding achievements and leadership within the industry, as well as her commitment to the advancement of women.
