This session features Mike Falvey, President & CEO of Falvey Insurance Group, and Megan Bell, Director of Marketing at Falvey. In 1995, Mike started Falvey Cargo Underwriting. The company specializes in providing marine cargo cover for the high tech and life science industries and is the largest cargo covernote facility in Lloyd’s. He has since expanded the organization to Falvey Insurance Group, comprising multiple MGA products and a wholesale brokerage focused in transportation, logistics, and marine verticals. In 2020, Mike graduated from Harvard Business School OPM 55, in 2021, he was recognized as one of Providence Business News’ Leaders & Achievers, and in 2022 was honored with the Narragansett Council, Boy Scouts of America’s Distinguished Citizens Award. Megan oversees all marketing and communications, and initiatives related to customer experience for Falvey is a co-chair of their Volunteerism & Philanthropy Committee. She is the 2023 Chair of the Executive Committee of the Insurance Marketing & Communications Association (IMCA) Board of Directors, is Co-Chair of the IMCA Partnerships Committee, and was a 2019 recipient of the IMCA Rising Star award. Megan was recently named one of Insurance Business America’s 2022 Elite Women. Mike and Megan will talk a bit about the diversity and inclusion initiatives at Falvey and the transformational value it has on the company culture.
