Negotiating can be stressful for anyone!  But if you want to get what you deserve, you have to be willing to advocate for yourself in an effective way that showcases your value, and does not cause those with whom you want to strike a deal to walk away – or to walk away with all the marbles. In today’s COVID world, we are doing more and more virtually, making non-verbal and voice cues even more important in the negotiation process.

A master of the art of negotiation is Philadelphia employment attorney Robin Bond.   As the author of the book, How To Negotiate a Killer Job Offer, Robin has helped over 3,000 employees get what they want and leverage their value for career success. Mark Cuban, of Shark Tank, wrote the foreword to her book and said, Robin’s great – buy this book!

Robin will discuss methods for negotiating important business matters that reflect your worth, and the value you are bringing to the table.   How do I ask for more money in this deal?  Is there any chance the other guy will pull the offer if I try to negotiate?  How do I ask for certain protections without making the other side think I don’t trust them?   The program will include case studies from her own experience as an attorney, and how to handle them.  Attendees will leave with actionable strategies for effective ways to speak up and advocated to advance their interests.

By attending this meeting, you will learn to:

  1. Assess your value;
  2. Advocate effectively, and set the tone for your career;
  3. Determine what to seek when negotiating, and who and how to ask; and
  4. Understand the process negotiating to a successful “yes.”
