Lynn Halper is currently a director on the board of AAO Insurance Company serving as chairman of the Board Policy Review Committee, as well as being a member of the Audit Committee, Compensation Committee, Reinsurance Committee and Rate & Underwriting Committee. Thirty five years of experience in the reinsurance industry, with continuously increasing responsibility, provides a background in developing strategic plans, execution of business plans, responsibility for a significant P&L, and leadership skills to create consensus and advocacy for an organization’s mission. While business focus has primarily been in the United States, responsibilities provided exposure to insurance business in Bermuda, Canada, London and other parts of Europe.
 
Prior to retiring from PartnerRe in 2018 Lynn Halper’s experience was primarily with two reinsurance organizations. From 1983 to 2003 was employed by Trenwick Group Ltd. From 2003 to 2018 employed by PartnerRe Ltd serving as head of North American Casualty. The P&L responsibility in this role consisted of $650M in annual GWP and as member of the North American Senior Leadership team and Director of Partner Reinsurance Company of the US, engaged in oversight of the largest region by premium volume of PartnerRe Ltd. Participation in oversight included all Property and Casualty Lines of Business, as well as Specialty Lines, such as Surety, Mortgage, Agriculture, Marine, Satellite and Accident & Health written on the U.S. entity balance sheet. During her tenure as head of North American Casualty, the division saw an entry into new lines of business, including Cyber and Transactional Liability (Representations and Warranties/Tax Liability), as well as expansion of profitable lines, such as: Workers Compensation, Directors and Officers Liability and various facets of Excess and Surplus Lines segments.
 
During her tenure there was consistent revenue increase and redundancy in reserve levels each year. Leadership of the North American Casualty portfolio also provided for interaction with PartnerRe Ltd.’s Board of Directors in continuing education sessions focused on cyber insurance, reinsurance underwriting process and casualty portfolio management. In addition to leadership efforts related to her own team, she was a sought out mentor and championed diversity initiatives having one of the most diverse teams in the organization.
